*Itaipu does not have outsourced employees and for this indicator are accounted works who work in janitorial services, kitchen, surveillance, cutting grass, among others, based on the number of active badges for access to the plant, and therefore they do not represent the totality of employees of service companies. Itaipu does not manage information such as gender, type of contract and journey of such workers

Termination

Dismissals occur mostly via the Permanent Program for Voluntary Termination (PPDV). Of the 73 dismissals that took place in 2015, only 5 were not via the PPDV. The average career time at Itaipu of dismissed employees was 25 years and they are mostly people over 50 years old, which show a high rate of retention of professionals who join Itaipu.

Parental leave [G4-LA3]

Itaipu practices 60-day extension to maternity leave and 15 days for paternity leave, within the context of a corporate citizen. Licenses are granted to all workers, including cases of adoption and/or legal guardian, without any loss of pay, vacation or job promotion and/or salary.

In the last three years, nearly 100% of the professionals who enjoyed maternity leave or paternity leave returned to work and remained employed after twelve months of their return, but three dismissals occurred by the Permanent Voluntary Retirement Program (PPDV) and by application of exemption. On 12/31/2015 there were six workers on leave to return in 2016.
