What is it?
A wide area where Itaipu grows seedlings for the reforestation of woods and forests degraded by the acts of man.

What is there to do?
Learn about the human efforts to regenerate the native vegetation on the banks of the Itaipu reservoir. At the Nursery, Itaipu plants approximately 200 thousand seedlings a year, divided into ornamental, forest and fruit trees. Over 500 native and exotic species are grown, such as the heart-of-palm tree (Euterpe edulis) which could formerly be found in woods and today is threatened by extinction due to its worldwide consumption. Nursery seedlings are used to replenish the forests of the power plant's reservations and sanctuaries, and also in areas outside Itaipu.

When?
Tuesdays to Saturdays from 8am to 11:30pm and from 2:30pm to 5pm; Sundays from 8am to 11:30am; On Mondays the Nursery is closed for maintenance.
