What is it?
A set of 519 floodlights and 112 light fixtures provides the dam's nighttime lighting, in synch with a soundtrack created specially for the show.

What is there to do?
By the contrast of lights against the night, unveil the awe-inspiring dam shown in detail. It is hard to picture, but the lighted power house looks even larger. The show is added extra charm on full moon evenings. Visitors watch the show at the same central belvedere from which people can see Itaipu in operation in daytime. A captivating musical score is perfectly synchronized to the lighting of the floodlights projecting shapes on the colossal concrete wall. This dynamic lighting show unique in its genre in the entire world amazes spectators for its beauty and grandeur. It is available on both river sides.

When?
Fridays and Saturdays from 8:00pm (9:00pm during daylight savings time). We recommend to book it. In Brazil, visitors should arrive half an hour before the presentation. In Paraguay, people such report for the tour at 6:30pm.

How much?
In Brazil, R$ 12 for adults and R$ 6 for kids 7 to 16, seniors over 60, students that present their student card with current date and residents of cities surrounding the Iguaçu National Park and in the three-border area.

For the Combined Power Plant/Lighting Tour, admission is R$ 26 for adults and R$ 13 for kids 7 to 16, seniors over 60, students that present their student card with current date and residents of cities surrounding the national park and in the three-border area. In Paraguay, access is free.

The fees of Combined Power Plant/Lighting Tour include the R$ 1,00 normal price and the R$ 0,50 discount price, with voluntary contribution directed at the Fundo de Desenvolvimento e Promoção do Iguaçu – Fundo Iguaçu (Iguaçu Development and Promotion Fund).

Visitors Reception Center on the Brazilian side (Avenida Tancredo Neves, 6.702 – Foz do Iguaçu-Brazil) and Visitors Reception Center on the Paraguayan side (Hernandarias-Paraguay).
