The Atenas Cultural Center is dedicated to preserving and strengthening Paraguay's cultural heritage and identity, besides giving Paraguayans the tools to face challenges in the future.
To that end, its main purpose is to open spaces where ancestral and scientific knowledge can be created and expanded so as to enable local and national sustainable development.
The Atenas Cultural Center works in three areas: craftsmanship; native and folk culture; and heritage, identity and memory.
Among the initiatives established as goals for the Atenas Cultural Center are the creation of a virtual and physical library compiling ancestral knowledge and the addition of science and sustainable technologies; the education of social, cultural and environmental promoters; and the development of a craftsmanship research center.
